Bela Lugosi was (most likely) a famous actor. Fluttershy was a member of his fan club.[1]
Behind the scenes
Bela Lugosi was a real-world actor who lived from 1882 to 1956. Andy Price, the artist for "Happy Haunts" has admitted he is a huge fan of Universal Monster Movies[2] and has hid numerous references to the films in his various works. Most notably was an alternate cover of Friendship is Magic #37, which was parodied numerous classic horror movies, but primarily Universal Horror.
Trivia
There exist another character based off of Bela Lugosi simply named "Lugosi", who with "Lee" (a reference to Chrisopher Lee) founded Lugosi & Lee Apple Co.
