Akiko Yajima (May 4, 1967) is a Japanese voice actress from Kashiwazaki, Niigata.

History

Early life

Yajima was born in Kashiwazaki, but moved to Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture when they were about 2 or 3 years old. During school, they became active in theater activities. They went to Shukutoku Junior College to study social welfare, but didn't stay n that field for long. After that, they became a salesperson at Toraya and took night classes for youth theater. Over time, they went from thinking acting could be a hobby, to a full on career.

Career

Yajima worked as a dub over artist for many live-action productions, such as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace as Anakin Skywalker, Home Alone as Kevin, Who Framed Roger Rabbit as Roger Rabbit and The Sixth Sense. Probably her most well-known performance was that of Shinnosuke Nohara on the cartoon series, Crayon Shin Chan, though another well known one was that of Spyro the Dragon.

Fittingly enough, as she was known for primarily voicing children, her only credit in My Little Pony has been that of Pipsqueak.
