==Behind the scenes==

Maud's character was modified somewhat to fit the more grounded setting of ''Equestria Girls''. Her adventurous side was removed, or at least, never expanded upon, and her interests and occupations were expanded to include paleontology and teaching. As the original Maud was in her mid-t-late 20s, ''Equestria Girls'' Maud was rewritten to be in her late teens, still going to high school, but having an above-entry-level job.
