The Matrix of Leadership was a powerful device, so powerful in fact that it's capable of allowing its users to take over the world.
When Cobra Commander and Megatron nabbed the item, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Grimlock were seriously concerned that they were going to finally take over the world, but luckilly the day was saved when Twilight Sparkle, Rarity and Pinkie Pie came barging in with a large gun and defeated the two tyrants.
