Marey Spelley was a famed author who wrote Frankenstag, a novel about the Doctor Frankenstein who went "too far" in his pursuit to create life. Spelley's work would possibly inspire the books of V. Frankenstein, a writer of books on autopsies for "fun and profit" and seemingly one of Sweetie Belle's inspirations.
Her work also inspired the play, "The Bridle of Frankenstag".
