Not much is known of Lily's past, other than she was friends with the other flower ponies before {{FIM|Twilight Sparkle}} came to Ponyville. She was perhaps the pony most affected by the 'bunny stampede' on an emotional and financial level, as she panicked and fainted at the sight of the rabbits, who proceded to eat her flower garden.<ref>{{CAR|FIM|Applebuck Season}}</ref> Likewise, she panicked at {{FIM|Zecora}} coming to town, fearing that she was an evil presence,<ref>{{CAR|FIM|Bridle Gossip}}</ref> and was deeply troubled by the arrival of the '[[Cutie Pox (disease)|cutie pox]]' illness.<ref>{{CAR|FIM|Cutie Pox}}</ref>
