Helm of Shadows
The Helm of Shadows was a mysterious object worn by Nightmare Moon.
History
An artifact resembling the Helm of Shadows was created by the Pony of Shadows of the corrupted universe, who hoped to turn Princess Luna into Nightmare Moon and Princess Celestia into Daybreaker. Luna would later create her own Helm of Shadows upon becoming Nightmare Moon. After being returned to normal, Luna would secrete the apparently indestructible artifact in hopes that it would never fall into the wrong hooves. Princess Argent, who had turned to darkness but failed to create her own Helm of Shadows or undergo a transformation akin to Luna's, later learned of the Helm's existence and sought to claim it for herself.
