Gizmo, also known as Poindexter or Gyro was a student of Canterlot Academy and now resident in Ponyville.

Early life
In his academy days, Gizmo was best friends with Shining Armor.
Personality
Friendships
Gizmo was one of Shining Armor's best friends back in Canterlot Academy. They would play Ogres and Oubliettes together. Gizmo enjoyed Shining's company and was shown to really care about him too, going to great lengths to help out his good friend. The two remained friends even after Shining became the Crystal Prince and the group never stopped playing O&O.
