"Duchess" was once a royal cook for Prince Philip who briefly took the throne for herself when she locked Philip and his sister away in the dungeon.
Afterwards, she ruled his palace with an iron fist. She invited the ponies to "her" palace with the one request that they bring the Newborn Twins with them. The party was of course a ruse and she instead locked away the ponies while delivering the new born's to her daughter to be her pets. Soon, she was overthrown by Prince Philip's guards who were disgusted at how cruel she truly was, and was once again Prince Philip's cook.
