A cider house was a type of establishment that sold cider beverages.

The only known cider house was Cider House Drools, a bar in Trotland, Northern Equestria.

In our world, Cider houses sell alcoholic ciders. Given how the only cider house appeared like a bar, this was clearly no coincidence. In general, cider has always been used as a child-friendly stand-in for alcohol in Equestria.
