It's directly connected to [[Canterlot river]], as the water acts as a natural border between it and [[Appaloosa]], the [[Arimaspi Territories]] and the [[Macintosh Hills]].<ref name = "MAP">[[Map of Equestria]]</ref> The desert is apart of a much greater desert that runs as north as [[Dodge City]] and as south as the [[Sea of Clouds]].
