Ray
Ray is a lizard and the faithful pet of Sunset Shimmer.
Ray lived in the Canterlot Animal Shelter for most of his life, which is of unknown length, until Sunset Shimmer decided she wanted a pet. With the help of Fluttershy, she browsed the Animal Clinic, looking for the animal that fit her the most. When she came across Ray, it was love at first site as the two grew to adore one another.
Sunset took Ray to the Every Pet Charity photo-shoot where he posed with the pets of her friends. He was shy at first, but with the tender encouragement from his owner, he entered the fray and became very social with the other pets.
He presumably lives with Sunset at her house.
