Michael Joens is a director, animator, cartoonist, and former Marine. He directed and was one of the producers for My Little Pony: The Movie in 1986. Being the son of a Marine, Joens traveled the country at an early age, attending dozens of different schools, and still travels the world to this day. In 1978, Joens founded Theo Presents, an animation studio that produces Christian animated films.
