When the Mane Six pointed out that the Mane-Iac had neglected to account for Spike, the Mane-Iac was amused, being only familiar with Hum Drum's typical inability to help out his teammates. Spike, inspired by his friends' assertions of confidence, engaged Mane-Iac's henchponies and prevented them from repeating the use of the Hairspray Ray. This allowed the Mane Six to unfreeze and engage the Mane-Iac's forces with their superpowers, swiftly achieving victory. Spotting {{FIM|Fluttershy}}, in the guise of [[Saddle Rager]], slinking away, Mane-Iac prepared to use the weapon against her, only to have her aim spoiled by a firefly. She knocked the small creature aside, only to finally arouse Fluttershy's anger and thus give her access to Saddle Rager's superpowers.
The Mane-Iac fired on her, but Fluttershy's powered up form deflected the blast back at the Mane-Iac, who found herself unable to control her own mane. It quickly wrapped around her, leaving her helpless and immobilized, while Fluttershy destroyed the doomsday device. Their mission accomplished, the future [[Council of Friendship]] were returned to their own world, with the real Power Ponies presumably taking charge of the Mane-Iac in their place.
