My Little Pony: Friendship in Disguise is the 11th comic spin-off series to come off the Friendship is Magic comic book series that is set to begin release in May of 2020. It is the first spin-off to be a crossover series, and aside from non-canonical one-shots such as "When Worlds Collide", artworks and advertisements, is the first real crossover the franchise has had. It is set for a 4-issue run.

Priscilla Tramontano, a colorist who was set to work on the now canceled Transformers x My Little Pony series, is set to work as an illustrator for Friendship in Disguise.

Queen Chrysalis attempts to use a spell to search for her kind, but accidentally connects with a space bridge and pulls the Autobots and Decepticons into Equestria. As a result, Optimus Prime and Twilight Sparkle must work to stop the combined threat of the Changelings and the Decepticons.
