Cadance has been depicted transformed by [[Chaos Magic]], resulting in a lengthened mane and tail. Her wings became bat-like, and she also sported armor similar to that worn by the [[Royal Guards of Equestria]].
On at least two occasions, Cadance took on the appearance of a [[Crystal Pony]] after being exposed to a wave of magic released by the Crystal Heart. Unlike other ponies affected in this manner, Cadance is actually known to have some Crystal Pony heritage through a distant relationship to [[Princess Amore]].
