Continuity family
From Equestripedia, the Archives of Equestria!
A continuity family is a term we shamelessly stole borrowed from {{tfwiki:|tfwiki.net}} to help catergorize the confusing continuity of My Little Pony. Though a fan term, it is an invaluable tool to determine what goes where and why.
Wiki terminology
We go by three different "levels" of continuity. They are:
- Family: A family is an entire continuity family. For example, Friendship is Magic is a continuity family within the 4th Generation.
- Portion: A portion refers to a specific sub-series that in of itself is a mini-franchise. For example, Equestria Girls is a portion of the Friendship is Magic family.
- Subset: A subset is like a portion, but for a portion. For example, Rainbow Rocks is a subset of Equestria Girls which is a portion of Friendship is Magic.
