Caldera was also among the dragons recreated as part of a magical simulation by {{FIM|Twilight Sparkle}}. He was among the teenage/young adult dragons recruited by Ember to use their fire breath to heat Dragons eggs that needed to hatch. Thanks to [[Garble]] reciting poetry and making them laugh, they were able to breathe super-hot fire and hatch the eggs. Caldera was later among the numerous Dragons and other creatures who joined in the final battle against the [[Legion of Doom]]. Some time later, he was seen in [[Canterlot]] among many other creatures who attended Twilight’s coronation as [[Queen of Equestria]].

During the Gauntlet of Fire, Caldera wore a suit of armor consisting of a brown helmet that left most of his face exposed, with holes in the back that allowed his horns to stick out. A large breastplate covered most of his neck and his upper torso, with a grayish-brown section covering the neck and shoulders. Plates of a similar color were strapped to his forearms, while a brown oval with yellow wings adorned the front of the neck section. A reddish-brown section covered his belly, encircling a dark brown half oval that connected to the shoulder section.
