'''Lofty''' is the lover of {{IDW|Aunt Holiday|Holiday}} and aunt to [[Scootaloo]]. She is a cream-coated pegasus mare who, although unrelated to Scootaloo by blood, loves her very dearly. Scootaloo has said that Lofty is interested in her life, almost a little to much, and although she can be annoying, Scootaloo is grateful to have such a loving aunt in her life, as her own parents were said to not be as warm or loving.

==History==
Sometime before Scootaloo's adventures with the [[Moon sisters]], Lofty fell in love with Holiday and the two founded a relationship with one another. Although not related to Scootaloo by blood, Lofty has proven herself to be a loving and maternal aunt towards her niece-in-law. While one of Scootaloo's adventures with the Moon sisters didn't turn out well, Lofty supported Scootaloo though Scootaloo refused to tell her aunts what was wrong. Scootaloo was annoyed by her aunts in how much they tried to get hr to confess to what was bothering her, but she knew they were only doing it out of love and later admitted that she was incredibly grateful to have such caring aunts in her life.

==Personality==
Of Scootaloo's two aunts, Lofty appears to be the more childish and fun-loving of the two. While still intelligent, kind and loving, she also praises Scootaloo for going on dangerous adventures and loves to hear the exploits of her nephew. In general, Lofty is portrayed as a more "paternal" figure in her life, encouraging Scootaloo's more tomboyish traits and calling her slightly more masculine nicknames like "slugger". Nonetheless, Lofty is still a responsible and caring figure who loves Scootaloo, Holiday and her scout dearly. She's also very friendly and forgiving, as she gave [[Pearl Stitch]] the chance to act as a Filly Guide one last time in her old age.
