Filo info is a template to properly organize files and assign proper copyright. Each of the fields are important, but not every field is to be filled out for every file. They are of the following

  • description= A brief description of the image and its contents.
  • source= Source of the image. If it's from My Little Pony media, then use {{Im|Media name}} to link the source. If it's from a non-primarily covered media, just list the article and not the specific entry. If it's from non-MLP media, link the website, film, show, etc, its from.
  • artist= The artist of the work, such as a penciler, illustrator, painter, graphic designer, photographer, etc. See here for what artists should and shouldn't get pages. Artists who should get pages should be linked with {{Am|Artist name}}
  • colorist= The colorist of the work, usually for comics. Linked with {{Cm|Colorist name}}
  • letterer= Letterer of the work, usually for comics. Linked with {{Lm|Letterer name}}
  • subjects= The characters, places, and objects of the image. Linked with {{Im|Subject}}

Licenses

primary license

Primary license is the overall license of the media. Use the following commands to list the proper licensing information:

  • FAIR USE Fair use files are files not under a free license. These are typically screenshots from TV/movies/games, scans from comics and books and most photographs off the internet.
  • CREATIVE COMMON These are files under a Creative Commons license. Usually found on Wikimedia Commons.
  • PUBLIC DOMAIN Public Domain are files not protected under any copyright, at least in the U.S.
  • OWN CREATION Files of YOUR creation! NOTE that uploading them here automatically lists them under CC BY-SA 4.0 unless you use OWN CREATION (NON-CC).
  • OWN CREATION (NON-CC) Read above

secondary license

These point to specific uses of the file and why they're used.

  • TOY All pieces of merchandise (with the exception of comics, magazines and books, which go under PUBLICATION and video games, which go under SCREEN
  • PUBLICATION Scans from comics, books, magazines, and other print-based media.
  • SCREEN Screen captures of TV shows, films, video game, apps, and other screen-based media
  • PACKAGE Packaging art for toys, CDs, albums, video games and DVDs, as well as graphics created to advertise products and services.
  • STAGE Photographs or screen captures of recordings of stage productions.
  • LOGO A logo of a product, company, brand, band, or other entity.
  • OTHER Other file, such as staff images, images of events, or MLP media that doesn't fit any other topic
  • NON-MLP For files unrelated to MLP. Usually artwork or screen captures of staff members or references.
