A clan is a type of family that is almost more akin to a small cultural group rather than a single family. Typical characteristics of clans include owned land and close family connections. In some cases, Clans can be used interchangeably with Dynasty.
History
In Manga World, the Apple family became the Apple clan, a ninja clan of Earth ponies, who lived in a large household in Ponyville-cho.
