Ziggy was a Diamond Dog or who was honored at the halls of the Appaloosan Mountains along with Stardust.
History
Ziggy's statue was in mosty good shape, but cracks were starting to show, implying that it may have been built quite some time ago. The Mane Six passed by the statue on the quest to the Changeling Kingdom to save the Cutie Mark Crusaders.[1]
Behind the scenes
Paired with "Stardust", Ziggy's name is an obvious play on "Ziggy Stardust", continuing the trend of Diamond Dogs being named after David Bowie material. Ziggy first appeared as a statue in The Return of Queen Chrysalis - Part II, "guarding" a Diamond Dog mineshaft.
