Turmoil in the Toybox is a 1986 religious book written by Phil Phillips relating to the infamous Satanic Panic of the 1980s. The book references My Little Pony as a series of occult symbols marketed as cute toys, with unicorn horns being used to represent the Antichrist.

Reception and legacy

The book has a notorious legacy among fans of 80s cartoons and toys as well as some current Christians. An Amazon review for the second book in the series gave the book 5 stars, but only for how absurd it is, and ended the review by stating that it should not be used serious bible study. The book was featured in the section "From Dream Valley to the Devil's Backyard" in Ponyville Confidential: The History and Culture of My Little Pony, 1981-2016 as the author, Sherilyn Connelly, discussed the sheer amount of absurdities early in the brands history.
