Outer space
Outer space, also sometimes referred to as "the stars above", "the universe", or simply "space", is an extremely vast, colorless void that, for all intents and purposes, makes up the universe. Within space contains galaxies, stars, planets and more.
Despite not appearing to be a space-fairing civilization, Ponies have a good grasp of what space looks like. The gnome Garth envioned flying through space flying on the back of other pegasi, picturing accurate celestial bodies, such as stars and nebulae. In the human world, the vastness of space are chronicled and displayed in planetariums, such as the one in Canterlot.
Earth exists within the Solar System, which in of itself is within the Milky Way galaxy, which is surrounded by other galaxies.
Chaos lords are capable of flying through space, and creating dimensions containing deep space.
