Muriel is an elephant who lives at Sweet Feather Sanctuary.

History

Muriel suffered from a trunk injury causing her to need a cast. Her trunk finally healed enough where she could remove it, but she ended up sucking in the keys to the supply cabinet at Fluttershy's animal sanctuary, causing another injury. As if it wasn't bad enough for Muriel, she was soon eaten by Antawn the snake, who had been eyeing her for quite some time. Though Dr. Fauna tried to save her, she was fruitless and so Angel, now in Fluttershy's body, had to convince Antwan to free her.

Behind the scenes

Muriel is an elephant who appears in the Generation 4 cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in its ninth and final season. She is one of the very few elephant characters in the franchise, though the existence of elephants have been alluded to a few times before, such as being mentioned to road around the Forest of Leota.
