Mina is a female Dragon who lives in Dragon Town in Fillydelphia.
History
The manager of a comic shop and fan of both Flashfire and Princess Luna, Mina was befriended by Spike when he and Luna came to investigate a series of fires in Fillydelphia. She firmly rebutted his suspicions that Dragons might be involved, arguing that Dragons were often blamed without cause. When Spike commented on his own negative encounters with other Dragons, Mina retorted that a few bad Dragons didn't mean they all were. Sadly, Spike's efforts to convince the police of Mina's viewpoint failed, and she was among the Dragons affected by a curfew they put in place.
Despite this misfortune, Mina remained confident in Spike, and later helped him evacuate a building set on fire by a fire snail. In gratitude for her help, Spike arranged for Luna to meet her, thought Mina was so thrilled that she fainted, with Spike catching her before her head could hit the floor.[1] Spike later recalled her when he and Zecora discussed their occasional feelings of isolation living among Ponies.[2] When Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, and Zecora visited the Fillydelphia Hall of Records, Mina passed by on the sidewalk.[3] Mina later traveled to Ponyville to attend a benefit concert put on by Songbird Serenade.[4]
Years later, Spike came to visit Mina after a comic book signing event. Mina questioned how things went, and Spike mentioned one attendee who had complained about inconsistencies in his accounts of adventures with his friends and others. Mina was actually somewhat sympathetic to the protester, noting that many of Spike’s experiences were hard to believe. Spike readily admitted this, but also noted how much fun he’d had on them as the pair viewed a gallery of his memorabilia.[5]

In fanfiction
Mina has appeared in a few fanworks and is one of the few IDW original characters that's brought up often in fan discussions. She appeared as a shopkeeper in the Spike's Time Off series of flash games though she was erroneously stated to be from Manehattan instead of Fillydelphia.
