Matilda is a middle-aged Donkey and the wife of Cranky Doodle Donkey. She's great friends with Pinkie Pie and seems to be good friends with Derpy, Dr. Hooves and pretty much everypony in Ponyville.
Biography
In her younger years, she met Cranky Doodle at a party at Canterlot and the two instantly fell in love. Unfortunately, a miscommunication caused the two to lose touch with one another. The two searched for one another for the following decades until they both eventually gave up and decided to settle into Ponyville. There, they were reunited by Pinkie Pie and the two instantly restarted their relationship.
After a few years, the two decided to get married. Though the events leading up to their marriage was chaotic (as is most events in Ponyville), the actual wedding was heartfelt and filled with love from both her and Cranky, and the ponies (and dragons, sea serpents and other creatures) of Ponyville. Together, the two have been in a loving relationship ever since.
