Marvel is a multi-media company founded in 1939 as Timely Comics. Although most famous for their comic books, Marvel has produced a number of films, video games, and other productions. In 2009, they were acquired by Disney, who owns their souls to this day.

Marvel Productions, also known as New World Animation Ltd, is a television studio that produced several early My Little Pony media, before AKOM took over in the '90s. From 1981 to 1984, they were owned by Cadence Industries.

Panini Comics

Marvelous, in Italy!

Panini Comics is a company with a complicated history. They were founded at one point a subsidiary for Marvel based in Italy, but now they're an independent company that owns Marvel UK. Anyway, Panini Comics is noteworthy for publishing various Generation 4 My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic comics in Italian.
