Story

Since Buckball has become an Equestrian phenomenon, a stadium and museum were constructed in Appleloosa. When Team Ponyville, Snips and Rainbow Dash went to play there. Around this time, Snails became a popular target for autographs and so Snips decided to cash in on his popularity by selling Team Ponyville merchandise. Dash came across Quibble Pants and eventually his new family. Quibble quickly confines into Dash about his inability to bond with Wind Sprint, the daughter of his girlfriend, Clear Sky and so Dash, who went to the museum for Applejack's sake, decides to help him become a "sport pony" in order to bond with his athletic daughter. Around this time, Quibble bought Wind Sprint a copy of the Buckball Almanac, though she doesn't appreciate the gift.

Later, during their training Quibble's nonathletic and generally nerdy nature gets in the way however of their training. Later, Rainbow Dash tells Wind Sprint that Quibble had 'another' surprise for her and her her, joined by Snips and Quibble, to play against Team Ponyville. After Quibble Pants repeatedly failed at the game and made a scene pointing a potential loophole, Wind Sprint left the game and Clear Sky told Quibble that they were going to have to 'rethink' their marriage.

Fearing that met the worst, Quibble fell into a slump and nearly gave up until Rainbow Dash told him he should've gone to Wind Sprint to teach him how to play the game. In doing so, he and Wind Sprint bond over the game for once and Clear Sky confirms that she was never thinking of dumping Quibble Pants.
