Between Dark and Dawn
Template:Animation Between Dark and Dawn is the 13th episode of the 9th and final season of Friendship is Magic. It stars Princess Celestia and Luna enjoying a vacation away from the castle.
Story
As Mr. Tortoise Snap went loose and began to devour Apple Trees in Sweet Apple Acres and nearly ate Spike, The Mane Six attempted to save him and stop the giant, but as soon as they were about to teleport the creature away, Celestia and Luna appeared and did so before them. From then on, the two sisters interrupted many of their activities. This made Twilight Sparkle worry that she and her friends weren't worthy and so they held a meeting in the Castle of Friendship, which the royal sisters also of course interrupted. However, Rainbow Dash convinced them to go on vacation instead. Later, the sisters put Twilight and the others in charge of the Royal Swanifying and raising the Sun and Moon by themselves by using a amulet
On their vacation, Luna and Celestia had very different ideas. Celestia wanted rough adventure, while Luna wanted relaxation. Although they were able to alternate between what they wanted to do for awhile, they eventually grew sick of each other and ditched each other and went on their own paths. Meanwhile, the Royal Swanning isn't going well and the Royal Swanifying Committee steps in to try to help, but Twilight refused their help. Eventually when they realized Luna and Celestia never did the event alone, they agreed to let the committee help them.
Celestia and Luna's argument didn't last and the two ended up meeting back up in Mount Filly-mane-jaro where they told each other how they felt as they waited for the sun to set and moon to rise...however, the overworked Twilight couldn't figure out how to work the amulet and Spike ended up accidentally breaking it. Luna and Celestia both flew to Canterlot Castle to fix the problem themselves.
